At Burts Snacks, we’ve made it our mission to have a positive impact on our environment, our community and the many and varied stakeholders in the company.

Established in 1997 as Burts Chips, we’ve grown and evolved to become Burts Snacks in 2019. We now employ over 300 people across two different locations, and have designed our production facilities to offer maximum efficiency alongside the minimum of environmental impact.

Caring for the environment

Our mantra is ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’. We aim to send zero waste to landfill, all our food waste is given to local livestock and our cooking oil recycled into sustainable biodiesel fuel.

Using the right ingredients

We’re the first crisp producer to meet Red Tractor standards and remain the only brand to use Red Tractor assured potatoes, keeping our ingredients traceable, safe and farmed with care.

Supporting our communities

We’re keen for Burts Crisps to be a key part of our local communities, and support a variety of local and community based activities, as well as supporting several national charities and working with/supporting local suppliers.

Personal development and support is front and center of our people strategy as an employer. We train, develop, retain and reward our employees to create a happy workforce.
